I was racking my brain over some rather Dickensian subject matter.

Me: What was the name of that story with Scrooge and all the Christmas ghosts?

Sister: A Christmas Carol.

Me: Right, right.

Mom: Is that the movie with Bill Crosby?

Umm... not quite.
